Art in Public Places (AIPP)
AIPP Exhibits
Are you interested in opportunities to exhibit your work at solo exhibitions in Reston and beyond? Art in Public Places is a partnership between LRA and businesses throughout Northern Virginia. This partnership gives our member artists the opportunity to showcase their art in businesses on a three-month rotation and further exposes our community to new and unique art. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS OPEN TO LRA MEMBERS ONLY.
How It Works
Exhibitions are solo shows, rotated every three months.
Artists are responsible for installing and uninstalling their own work.
Artists handle their own marketing and sales, but we ask that participants use the same format/template for your art signs. The art card template can be downloaded here.
A 10% commission on all sales is payable to LRA and is on the honor system. You can pay your commission here.
Exhibiting artists coordinate directly with the previous and next scheduled artist to ensure a smooth transition and continuous display of member artwork.
Venue placements are allocated on a rotating basis through outreach to the AIPP Chair.
If you are interested in exhibiting your art at any of these venues, email the AIPP chair.

Reston Hospital Center
1850 Town Center Parkway, Reston, VA 20190
Can accommodate 15 images, hanging system; The Chief of Operations has given us the option to have control of the hanging wires. This would mean one artist taking them down and the next hanging them. This is not really practical. So it is important that the exchange happens on the same day. The hanging wires on their own are a hazard in a busy hospital. We nearly lost this one and they have been very willing to work with us so please ensure that we cooperate.
