League Of Reston Artists

Art by Karen Danenberger

Dream.‍ ‍Create. Inspire.

The League of Reston Artists (LRA) is a nonprofit, volunteer-run community of visual artists, photographers, and art supporters dedicated to celebrating creativity and connection. Through rotating group and solo exhibitions, artist talks, workshops, and community partnerships, we create opportunities to learn, share, and experience art in meaningful ways. Our outreach programs bring art into public spaces, support creative education, and fund an annual scholarship for local high school students pursuing the visual arts.

We welcome artists, art lovers, and curious visitors alike to connect, participate, and be part of a vibrant creative community.

The Very Latest! Now and Upcoming…

New! Meet the Maker Spotlight!

Behind every work of art is a unique story—and we'd love to help you tell yours.

Each quarter, we'll feature one League of Reston Artists member on our homepage, introducing visitors to the artist behind the artwork through a personal profile, interview, and a rotating gallery of three featured works over the course of three months.

It's an opportunity to share your creative journey, showcase your artwork, and introduce collectors and fellow artists to your website, social media, or other online presence.

Whether you're an emerging artist or have been creating for decades, we'd love to help tell your story. Interested? Fill out this form!

Coffee & Creativity - Triskele Paper Globes Workshop

Join fellow LRA members for a relaxing two hours of coffee, conversation, and creativity as we create beautiful Triskele paper globes!

A Triskele (pronounced tris-kuh-lee) is a three-part spiral design with roots dating back thousands of years. Variations of the symbol have been found throughout the world, including Ireland, Greece, Italy, Korea, Japan, and Malta, where some of the oldest examples date to approximately 4400 BC.

During this hands-on workshop, you'll choose from several pre-printed designs and, using alcohol markers, you'll color three cardstock strips and then learn how to assemble them into a stunning three-dimensional Triskele globe to take home.

No artistic experience is necessary—just bring your creativity and enjoy an afternoon of making art with fellow members.
