The Appalachian Nature Art & Photography Competition & Exhibition
The Appalachian Nature Art & Photography Competition & Exhibition is organized by the Arcadian Gallery in Cumberland, Maryland, to celebrate the beauty of nature across the Appalachian region. Artists and photographers age 18 and older who reside in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, or Washington, DC are eligible to enter. Eligible work includes any two-dimensional artwork or photography depicting nature in Appalachia—from any Appalachian state—including landscapes, plants, wildlife, and other natural subjects.
Celebrate Reston At Lake Anne
Celebrate Reston At Lake Anne is an open, painting and mixed media juried exhibit that invites artists to submit work in any subject or style. With an Artist’s Choice theme, the exhibit celebrates creative freedom, individual voice, and the wide range of artistic expression that reflects the spirit of Reston. Fairfax City - Spring Art Walk
The City of Fairfax Commission on the Arts and Fairfax Spotlight on the Arts invites local artists to participate in the Spring Art Walk on May 3, the closing event of the 2026 Spotlight on the Arts festival.
Reston Photography Exhibit
The Reston Photographic Society Photography Exhibit is an Artist’s Choice exhibition inviting photographers to submit work in any subject or style. Workshop: Abstract On A Large Canvas
TEST Entry. NOT A REAL WORKSHOP. Members bring their own large canvas and we go over abstract art principles and then paint based on an inspiration piece. (Needs who, what, when and where of person sponsoring the workshop).
Small Works Exhibit
Small Works celebrates the power of art created on an intimate scale. This members-only exhibit invites artists to submit works no larger than 11 x 14 inches, challenging them to distill their ideas, technique, and vision into a compact format. Gallery B Presents “The Postcard” by Art4US
“Plato argues that human beings are imprisoned in the cave of their own existence. We construct a narrative of our lives, we write the story in linear sequence, and we defend it. Inviting you to enter The Cave and send yourself a Postcard from the locale that reminds you of a visceral experience. Awaken a fragment of your being.” ART4US is a creative cooperative providing a virtual place to display, develop and cultivate patrons’ relationships. Several LRA members will have their work on display at this exhibit: Bettina Brunner; Rudy Guernica; Antonella Manganelli; Allessandra Ricci; and Michelle Simoneau!! Congrats to all!!
