Come to Great Falls June 3-5 for a weekend of art celebrating creativity in our community.
The festivities include an Art Show and Sale, Children’s Art Activities, the June First Friday Art Walk, and the first Sunday Concert, variously hosted by Great Falls Studios, The Arts of Great Falls, and Celebrate Great Falls.
Great Falls Studios will host an Art Show and Sale in tents on the Village Green at the intersection of Walker Road and Georgetown Pike this weekend. The show will kick off during the June First Friday on the Green from 6-9 PM on Friday, June 3. Wander through the booths of over 20 Great Falls Studios artists and the studios of 27 artists on the Green to see oil, acrylic, watercolor and mixed media paintings; pottery; photographs; jewelry; weaving and fiber art. It’s a great opportunity to visit with the artists who create the art.
Admission is FREE and the show and sale will continue Saturday, June 4 from 9 AM – 5 PM and Sunday, June 5 from 11 AM – 8 PM.
On Saturday and Sunday, bring the kids to The Arts of Great Falls classroom at 756 Walker Road for drawing, painting and other fun art activities. Hours are 12-4 PM Saturday and 2 – 6 PM Sunday.
Close out the weekend with the first Sunday Concert on the Green from 6 – 8 PM. Enjoy the music of Mike Terpak Blues Explosion with a picnic. The concerts are organized by Celebrate Great Falls and Sunday’s event is sponsored by Roz Drayer Real Estate.
