Science, the USGS would like a statement regarding how your work relates to the general field of science. This will be included in the booklet kept at the exhibition site. Photography that reflects the USGS mission: USGS serves the Nation by providing reliable scientific information to describe and understand the Earth; minimize loss of life and property from natural disasters; manage water, biological, energy, and mineral resources; and enhance and protect our quality of life, would be most appropriate.

Deadlines: Deadline for submitting entry form via website February 26, 2024.

Drop Off: 9 AM, March 1, 2024

Pick Up: 9 AM, March 29, 2024

Photographs should be delivered to the USGS Art Hallway on March 1 at 9:00 am. No late arrivals can be accommodated after the installation is complete. We would appreciate any assistance from entrants to help install the show.

Artwork must be picked on March 29, 2024, as the USGS is not open on weekends.

Reception will be March 6 at 3 PM.

Prizes:

Prizes totaling $750 will be awarded for this exhibit. The judge for this exhibition is Nikhil Bahl.

Exhibition visitors will also be able to vote for a “People’s Choice” award.

Entry fee of $20 for members and $40 for non-members. See below for registration and payment instructions.

Up to 3 pieces per artist can be entered. Only photography will be accepted. Photographs exhibited in the USGS show CLICKS 2023 or the USGS December show are not eligible for entry.

Please note: The maximum size for this location is 36”” on the long side. We reserve the right to reject works on the installation day if they do not meet our requirements.

We would like to remind entrants and those who wish to view the show that the USGS is only open to visitors during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, and that it is a US Government facility. All visitors to the USGS must show a photo ID and pass through a security screening. Please park in Visitor Parking (drive around to the right and follow the signs), or you may be towed.
