JUDGE: Lynn Goldstein

Virginia Pastel and Mixed Media Artist

A fine art graduate from West Virginia University, Lynn has studied with some of the finest contemporary artists in the United States. She has earned signature membership in the Maryland Pastel Society and membership in the Pastel Society of America. She is also a juried studio artist at the Workhouse Arts Center in Lorton, Virginia. Lynn is a teacher as well. Her popular classes have brought her awards as an outstanding instructor from Fairfax County, VA, particularly her classes in drawing and pastel. Very much the teacher, Lynn wrote a feature article published in Pastel Journal encouraging artists to look at their work from a different perspective.

Lynn has taught many workshops in the mid-Atlantic region, and most recently, Lynn taught a workshop in Southern France. Additionally, Lynn has also taught workshop classes at the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery, where she also has volunteered her time as a docent for 16 years. This experience has allowed Lynn to study, understand, and pass on the best of America’s art masterpieces. Clearly, this understanding is embedded in her art as well.
