be considered two pieces. Remember this is our challenging location,
due to length and height restrictions. Entry will be closed after the

HeART of Reston: We are trying to make this a
Reston-centric exhibit. Remember, most work can be adapted to this
theme. We will need photos of your work. Artists are also invited to provide paragraph describing their process or thoughts
or other insights about their work which will add a dimension to their
work and deepen the viewer’s understanding of the their vision. Pieces
should be shortish (we will be printing them on 3x5” cards). THIS IS
OPTIONAL. Paragraphs and photos must be submitted to Antonella Manganelli by MONDAY,
MARCH 2nd at email@example.com. The last time we did this, we had a wonderful response from viewers in the gallery and by the artists who participated. If you need any help, contact Antonella.
All work must be able to be hung on the wall. All
paintings must be framed, unless they are gallery-wrapped canvases. All work must be ready for
hanging with a proper hanging system: eye hooks strung with wire on either side
of the work. This should be located near the top back of the work and the wire
should be tight enough that it does not show when the work is hung. LRA
reserves the right to refuse work that is improperly presented or unsafe to
hang. (Kick-stand frames
will not be accepted, frames that are overly worn will not be accepted, glass
that is broken will not be accepted, art that is not secure in its frame will
not be accepted, etc.) No clips front or back will be accepted. All work
must be identified with the artist’s name, phone number, title of work, medium
and price. Work that is wet will not be accepted.
$20 – Members, $30 - Non-Members. Up to 2 pieces per artist can be entered. See below for payment instructions.
Paintings, Mixed Media and 2-D (suitable for wall hanging). No giclees, only original artwork. No photography or fine
craft items. All work exhibited within the past 24 months at this venue are not
eligible. All work should be of good taste for a public building. The venue and
LRA reserves the right to unconditionally reject any work not deemed suitable
for display based on content or quality. All paintings that are entered should be
created within the last 3 years and follow the LRA framing guidelines.
