Tuesday, September 20. 7 PM – 9 PM. Great Falls Studios Program @ Great Falls Community Library, Large Meeting Room, 9830 Georgetown Pike, Great Falls.
GFS Photographer Dean Souleles will share the secrets of taking high quality photographs of artwork suitable for making fine art giclee prints, submitting to print publications or for use on the Web. He will demonstrate simple lighting setups for 2D art to eliminate reflections and glare. For 3D art he will show how to subtly use light and shadow to bring out the three-dimensional qualities of a piece. He will also demonstrate a tabletop lighting setup suitable for very small pieces including jewelry. In all cases he will show you how to get the most accurate color reproduction. He will also provide equipment lists so that you can affordably put together your own home studio.
This talk is free and open to all members of GFS and the public.
