Judge: Roy Sewall

Although born in Boston, Roy Sewall lived in India, Pakistan, Indonesia and the Philippines from the third grade to the twelfth grade. His father was working with the State Department’s Agency for International Development teaching the host government agencies how to make public service training films.

Roy has a BS in Physics from Case Institute of Technology in Cleveland and a MS in Engineering Science from Penn State. He has worked for several major corporations that focused on defense, space, communications, and transportation programs, and recently made a career change to photography.

AWARDS
Cash awards totaling $300 as well as honorable mentions will be chosen by the judge.

PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARD
Visitors to the show can vote for their favorite work. The work with the most votes will receive special recognition.

ENTRY DEADLINE AND FEE
LRA Members Only $15 for two entries.

Mailed entries and all material for press promotion must be received by September 26. Entries will also be accepted at the door if pre-registered.

ELIGIBILITY RULES.

• LRA member photographers are invited to submit two (2) works that have been created using a photographic process.
• Site restrictions prohibit sexually explicit (nudity) or violent themes.
• Single pieces over 36 inches in any direction count as two pieces.
• Photographs that have won awards in prior LRA/RPS shows or that have been accepted into LRA/RPS juried shows are not eligible.
• Works must be framed according to LRA standard rules, i.e., screw eyes and secure hanging wire; NO clip frames. All registered works will be checked for appropriate framing prior to acceptance. See recommended where to obtain recommended framing solutions on our ArtStuff resources page.
• Each work must have the artist's name, title of work, photographic process, and price clearly visible on the back.

Drop off entries at the Reston Community Center at Lake Anne, Jo Ann Rose Gallery on Monday, September 29, 9:00 - 10:00 am.

AWARDS RECEPTION
Sunday, October 14, 2:00 - 4:00 pm

PICK UP WORK
Monday, October 29, 9:00 - 10:00 am

Pick up artwork at JoAnn Rose Gallery, RCC at Lake Anne. If you are unable to pick up your work at this time, please arrange for a friend to do it for you. A fee of $10 per day will be assessed if your work is not picked up on time.

LRA will retain a 25% sales commission on all sales including sales up to 30 days after the exhibit closes, which are a direct result of this exhibit. Work will be sold at the price listed on the entry form unless marked Not for Sale (NFS).
