Jim Schlett and Gennara Moore presented six $500 scholarships to the Fairfax County Schools Scholastic Art Program event held on February 18th at NVCC Annandale Campus. This has become a large event in Fairfax and several hundred folks were in attendance.
One of the speakers indicated the process started with over 2,500 entries. There were a large number of awards presented and it appears that the LRA, of all of the “arts” groups that provided awards, was the largest in terms of total funding provided. Unfortunately, everything moved at a very fast-pace and we didnt get many photos, (not even a formal group shot of our selectees) but we will try and post a few later this week.
