Donations Accepted for Strathmore's Drawing for Art Fundraiser

Every year Strathmore holds a fundraiser called Drawing for Art.   Artists first donate works of art to be on exhibition at the Strathmore.   There is then a buyer’s reception where ticket buyers get to take home one of the donated pieces of work.  The tickets that are bought benefit our fine arts programming for the future.

In order to have a successful fundraiser, we need help from artists to donate work, generally valued around $100 or more.  We were asking if any artists from the League of Reston Artists would be interested in donating.  Artists who donate are not only helping out the Strathmore, but will receive other benefits such as being honored at our Thank You reception, have their names in the Drawing for Art program, have their work featured online, and receive a one-year Strathmore Stars membership.

The exhibition will be on view at the Mansion from April 18 to April 28, 2013 with the closing reception occurring on April 28 from 6 to 9 pm.  If an artist would like to donate a work, the attached form must be completed by Monday, March 25 and the actual artwork delivery will occur on April 8.

Any artwork that they could donate to Drawing for Art would be highly appreciated to ensure a successful fundraiser for the future programming at Strathmore.  If any artists want to submit a work or have any other questions they are free to email us at Exhibits@Strathmore.org or call at (301) 581-5125.
