Hello and Greetings,
I wanted to mention that this past week, we hung the Founder's Day Art Show at the Joanne Rose Gallery at the Reston Community Center at Lake Anne.   Special thanks to those who helped with hanging the Show, Marie Wright, Loy McGaughy, Regina Petrecca, Melanie Stanley, Karen Hutchison, Cheryl Parsons, Livingston Rodgers and to Gin Moore for managing the logistics of the Show.
"Amazing, beautiful, impressive, thoughtful, insightful, unbelievable, and electrifying" were just a few of the phrases that were used to describe the work.  And that was before the art was actually hung.   The layout and display of the art looked great.

2012 Founder's Day

We had 66 works of art by 26 artists, a solid increase in the number of pieces from last year.    The reception and awards will be held on Sunday, April 15th, 3 – 5 p.m., so make it a point to mark your calendar, stop by and invite a few friends to the reception.

I would like to point out that over the past few months, we have sold art and photography at both of the Parkridge, as well as the USGS shows.   We also have more opportunities to show case your art and photography in the coming months, so please check out the LRA website on regular basis to stay informed and subit work.  The next Parkridge Show will be in June with registration in late April and May.
With warmest regards,
Jim Schlett
