LRA Autumn News

Hello & Greetings,

Its been an exciting autumn and year for the art that LRA members create.   Good and Great things continue to happen to LRA.  We had a great exhibition (sold-out) at the Ernst Center in Annandale in September-October and a well attended reception and several sales..

Our Imagist Exhibition at the JoAnne Rose Gallery in October, including select poems that accompanied the paintings has been very successful and resulted in the publication of a book of LRA paintings and poems.  In addition to all of the copies that artists and friends purchased, we will use this book in our continuing public relations efforts.  Many thanks to all of those who participated in this effort especially Antonella Manganelli, who coordinated the project.  If you would like to view the book and purchase your own copy, please use this link,…

The special behind -the scene tour to the National Art Museum was very successful and we thank one of our newer members, Bill Shaw for arranging that event.   We are also in the process of working with the Reston Association for the possible inclusion of a story about LRA in their quarterly full-color publication and special thanks LRA member, Rudy Guernica, who is coordinating this effort.   Several of our members were also juried into the Nature’s Vision Photography Exhibition, which is considered one of the major photographic events in the DC metro area.

There is still time to make a donation to the LRA Scholarship Program, either thru our web site or by mailing a check to  LRA,  P O Box 2513, Reston VA 20195. We have plans to make 2015 just as successful as long as we have members continue to step up to the plate and join in the many volunteer opportunities that occur throughout the year.
