Thank you to those of you that attended the meeting on 10/17/11. We were able to sign up a number of volunteers for key positions required to move to the next level. We have exciting news about a new corporate partnership that will open up several exhibit spaces to our members in 2012. Look forward to more information coming soon from your new volunteer committee: Jim Schlett, Charlene Fuhrman-Shulz, Gennara Moore and Gene Morris.
Please see attached documents we reviewed during the meeting and note some highlights:
- Our Treasurer is officially resigning in November 2011 and we don't have a successor. We need someone with a Finance/Accounting skillset that is willing to take the position as soon as possible. Committment level is 5-10 hours per month. Technically the position holds a 3-year term, but we can be flexible based on what kind of volunteers we find. I'd like to find someone willing to serve for at least a year if possible.
- We would like to change the bylaws according to the attached (and your input). Please review and consider this notice of changes to be up for vote no later than January 2012. We will send out more information about these and other changes as soon as possible.
- Get involved!! Contact membership.LRA@gmail.com to get involved. We're going to need a lot more volunteers to coordinate more shows. We'd like a membership committee, exhibits committee and fundraising committee with a minimum of three members each - so email today to shape 2012 for LRA!!
