The Merrimack Valley Camera Club wants to remind clubs that the final submission deadline for the 31st George W. Glennie Nature Salon photographic competition is less than two weeks away.  The salon is open to camera clubs and photographic associations worldwide.
March 17, is the deadline for submission of your club’s entry to the 2011 Glennie Nature Competition.  A preliminary review of the early entries show that the tradition of diverse nature subjects from photographers around the world continues.  We look forward to your club’s submission.  If you’ve already submitted, thank you.
Rules Update

With the advent of digital photography and the internet, it has become easier than ever for people to acquire high quality nature images and represent them as their own.  Because the Glennie is a club competition, we have relied on clubs to police their own entries.  As photographers we want to know that our rights as photographers are being protected and we are competing against people’s own work. We have decided to formalize our policy and implemented a screening process to problems in the future.   We encourage participating clubs to use the same process to review their entries.  Please review our new policy.
How to Enter
Registration is on-line.  Each club may submit up to 10 entries, but no more than 2 from any one maker.  The club entry fee is $20 payable via credit card or PayPal account.

Detailed competition rules and the instructions for submission are found on the Merrimack Valley Camera Club's website.
