The 6th Annual Friends of Claude Moore Park Photography Expo -- Sep 20 Deadline

As this year's coordinator of the annual Friends of Claude Moore Park (FCMP) Photo Expo, I cordially invite you and members of your club to participate in the six year edition that will take place on Saturday, September 28, 2013. The proceeds of this photo expo will be devoted to the restoration of the historic Bridges Schoolhouse at the park.

Beginners and advanced adult photographers will compete in five categories as follows: Roots & Buds, Wild Creatures, Winged Wonders, Natural Landscapes, and History & Heritage. The Best in Show winner will receive $100.00. There will be one overall category for youths that will encompass all of the adult categories.

In addition to the five categories mentioned above, there will be the Paul Glascock Memorial People's Choice Award. The photographs in this particular category must be taken in a Loudoun County park.  The winner of this People's Choice Award will also receive $100.00. The deadline for the entries is Friday, September 20.

The awards will be announced on Friday, September 27 at 7:00 PM during the Opening Tea hosted by the FCMP in the historic Lanesville Ordinary at the park.

Time flies so get ready to submit your photographs and at the same time support a worthy cause.

For complete rules and application form, go to then click the Photography Exposition link on the right under "Quick Links."

Looking forward to your participation. Also, feel free to share with your fellow photographers and post on your websites, blogs, and/or social media sites. I am attaching a copy of our announcement card and a flyer so you can help us achieve the widest dissemination of this fun event.

You can also email me if you have any questions.
