You know those art supplies you never use? Those colors that looked so perfect, until you actually tried them? The paper that's in the closet collecting dust because you've moved on to something else? Bring them to the Manassas Art Guild's Art Supply Swap, where you can trade them in for something useful, or give them to someone who needs them. Even if you don't have supplies to contribute, you can pick some up, for a small donation.

The Swap will be held this Saturday, April 23, at the Harris Pavilion, 9116 Center Street, Manassas. Supplies should be dropped off between 10 and 11 a.m. The Swap continues until 2 pm.

So far we have been promised mat board, various types of paint, artist magazines, pastels, kid's art supplies, drawing paper, and assorted odds and ends. All donations should be in usable condition. Any supplies which have not been picked up by the end of the day will be donated to area art classes.

This event is part of the Old Town Manassas Spring Cleaning Day, which features recycling stations and other Earth Day activities ( and is held in conjunction with the Guild's eARTh 5 exhibit. Stop by and take a look!
