You are invited to Art Guild of Clifton plein air painting event at our historic town of Clifton Va. on June 21-22, 2014.

We have a special setting that includes historic homes and a barn, beautiful gardens, a gazebo in the park, winding lanes, a railroad crossing with caboose, and a donkey named "jackpot". In our small, one square mile town, you don't have to go far to find a quaintness waiting to be painted and interpreted with your inspiration.

For artists, there are cash prizes and awards. And, on June 21st we are also holding our annual Wine Festival, realizing an audience to observe artists at work.

Here are links for the details and a means for artists to register. We would love to have artists bring their talents to our home and for visitors to enjoy the ambiance of our historic town.

Sincerely, Chuck Rusnak, Art Guild of Clifton, Board Member

Young at Art Exhibit for Artists 55+ at RCC Hunters Woods

Hello Artist,

This year our annual Young at Art exhibit for artists 55+ will take place at RCC Hunters Woods during March instead of April.  This free exhibit, for two dimensional art only, will go from Monday, March 3 to Monday, March 31.  Being a part of it is a good way to share your art with the Reston community and hopefully will be fun as well.  After the art is hung on March 3,  our judges will choose a day to joyfully peruse all of it and then designate several artists to honor with Award Certificates.  These certificates will be presented during our reception on Friday, March 14, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be good food, drinks and entertainment courtesy of our 55+ Program Director, Karen Brutsche, and 55+ Program Assistant, Susan Zaboji.

Go to our website at to download a form. Or go to and download it under the Arts & Events section of Find Your Form.  The form can also be found in the bins at both the Lake Anne and Hunters Woods facilities and I will email it to you if requested.  The Call for Entries deadline (form only) is Friday, February 21.  You may scan and email it to me, fax it to my attention at 703-689-2897, or drop it off at either the RCC Lake Anne or RCC Hunters Woods facilities (addresses are on the form).

When you bring your piece(s) to the Community Room on Monday, March 3 between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., please have an identifying label affixed to the back on one of the bottom corners, and be sure your piece is ready to hang with a hanging wire on the back

We hope you will be a part of this exhibit or, if you are not yet 55, will pass the information on to other artists who are.  If you have any questions or comments, please let me know.

Thank You!
