Ryoko, is a native of Japan where she graduated from the Musachino Art College and became a lecturer at Niigata Art & Design College and the Niigata Art Museum.

She has had many solo exhibitions in both photography and painting at galleries in Niigata, Tokyo, New York, Chicago and Seoul. Her list of awards is extensive and notable.

Ryoko continues to exhibit her work as well as providing her extensive expertise to a number of students in the Northern Virginia area.

LRA is honored that Ms. Kanke agreed to judge our exhibition.

SIZE RESTRICTIONS
small—Both height and width must be 8” x 8” (64 sq. inches any direction) or smaller (not including the frame)
BIG—Image both height and width must be 30” x 30” (900 sq. inches in any direction) or larger (not including the frame).
Nothing in between for this show.

ENTRY FEE
$5.00 for two works

ELIGIBILITY RULES

• Two (2) original works in any media (BIG or small) as long as it can be hung on the wall.
• All work must have been completed in the past two years.
• Artwork that has won an award in a prior LRA show is not eligible.
• Artwork that has been accepted into an LRA juried show is not eligible.
• Site restrictions prohibit sexually explicit (nudity) or violent themes.
• Works must be framed according to LRA standard rules. Works will be scrutinized at a framing check table. Framing that is not secure is not safe for hanging and will NOT be accepted.
• All work must be identified with the artist’s name, phone number, email, title of work, and price.

ENTRY
Download the fill-in Acrobat entry form, fill it out, and bring it with you when you drop off your work. To use this fill-in form, you will need the free Acrobat Reader program. Be sure to uninstall any previous versions of Acrobat Reader you have installed before installing a new version.

Wednesday, February 13, 5 - 7pm at The Penzance Companies, 12007 Sunrise Valley Drive, Reston.

PICK UP WORK
Saturday, March 1, 9:30 - 10:30am at The Penzance Companies, 12007 Sunrise Valley Drive, Reston.
A fee of $10 per day will be assessed if your work is not picked up on time.

Please arrange to have a friend pick up your work if you are unavailable. There is no storage space at the facility.

ATTENTION WINNERS!!
If you are notified that one or more of your works have been selected as show winners, please send an electronic image of your winning work and an artist statement for press and web promotion following these guidelines.

A 25% sales commission will be retained by the LRA on all sales including sales up to 30 days after the exhibit closes, which are a direct result of this exhibit. Work will be sold at the price listed on the entry form unless marked Not for Sale. LRA reserves the right to photograph work for publicity and use on the LRA website. LRA is not responsible for works left after the pick-up dates following the close of the exhibition.
