The United States Geological Survey is currently only funded through the middle of March. If funding is not continued, the employees will be furloughed, and the building will be closed. In case this should occur, please consider which art works you would be willing to leave on exhibition during the closure as it might not be possible to retrieve them before the building is shut down.
Reception: February 13, 2025 from 5 to 7 PM.
Judge David Kepley
Exhibition visitors will also be able to vote for a “People’s Choice” award.
Theme: Science
Photography that reflects the USGS mission: USGS serves the Nation by providing reliable scientific information to describe and understand the Earth; minimize loss of life and property from natural disasters; manage water, biological, energy, and mineral resources; and enhance and protect our quality of life, is most appropriate.
Up to 3 pieces per artist can be entered. Only photography will be accepted. Photographs exhibited in the USGS 2024 show CLICKS are not eligible for entry.
Please note: The maximum size for this location is 36”” on the long side. We reserve the right to reject works on the installation day if they do not meet our requirements.
Please think about your info when entering online; it is recommended you print off the entry page for your records. NO alterations will be made to titles or prices after the deadline. No substitutions will be allowed at installation. A maximum of 60 entries will be accepted. For those new to the LRA and RPS, please note this is not a juried show and you will only be notified if your work cannot be accepted because the show is full. Please note that this is an exhibition only, prizes will not be awarded.
