Sunday, May 17th: Complete entry form via website and receipt of jpg image files by Exhibit Chair at rguernica@hotmail.com. Images must be .jpg format and file name must read: Artist name, Title of Piece, Medium, Size, Price.jpg… Image should be 2500 pixels on short side for maximum resolution. Crop to image edge. If you normally mat and/or frame the piece indicate what size and color you customarily use.
Friday, May 22nd: Opening Online of the Virtual Exhibition via email invitation.
Friday, July 17th: Exhibit Closes and online link is deleted.
Friday, May 22nd 5pm-7pm: Reception online via ZOOM conference to discuss and share exhibit and artwork. A unique opportunity to escape the isolation of Covid-19 and enjoy the virtual company of other artists with an occasion to talk about the art in the show and the unique circumstances of holding a Virtual exhibition. Enjoy a light refreshment while joining us on ZOOM – a link and ID to the show meeting will be sent to all members.
JUDGE: TBD. LRA will provide $750 in awards for this exhibition.
Entry Fees:
This is a FREE exhibit for Members only. Any original media is acceptable. Up to 2 pieces per artist may be entered. There is no size limitation for this show, all pieces will be represented at actual size, and art will be available for sale. The virtual exhibit is limited to 64 pieces so it will close if we reach this limit before the deadline. Register early.
Theme: SANCTUARY
As we deal with the isolation and lockdown of coronavirus, we seek shelter in the comfort and continuity of art to provide escape and focus. The online world provides an ethereal haven when hanging exhibits become an impossible challenge in conforming to the rules of social distancing. We seek the sanctuary of cyberspace for showing our art together and defy the physical restrictions imposed by real life.
