Reston Photographic Society is pleased to have Jeff Mauritzen speak at our October meeting. The meeting will be in the Reston Community Center at Hunters Woods on Oct 21, 2019 beginning at 7:30 pm. In addition to members guests are always welcome at the meetings.
Photographer Jeff Mauritzen’s assignments and adventures have immersed him in vivid landscapes on all 7 continents and in more than 60 countries around the world. His images have appeared in hundreds of publications, including over a dozen National Geographic Books, several National Geographic Traveler Magazine articles, Lonely Planet guidebooks, BBC Travel, Washingtonian magazine, Virginia Tourism, and numerous other publications.
In addition to assignment work, Jeff is also a seasoned and popular photography expert, guiding and lecturing on natural history-focused trips around the world for National Geographic Expeditions. Additionally, he leads his own photo workshops, including a 7 day Photography Workshop in Costa Rica this November and you can join him in August 2020, where he’ll be leading a Storytelling Photography Workshop along the west coast of Ireland. Jeff lives in northern Virginia with his wife and daughter.
